What is electrocoating and how does it work? These sessions will introduce the technology, types of ecoat and optimal applications of each. From there, the various components of a system are examined, with a focus on efficiency and operating costs:
PRETREATMENT - cleaning, surface conditioning, conversion coating, rinsing, post-treatment stages; equipment design; water conservation; process controls.
EQUIPMENT- tank construction and components; circulation, electrical, ultrafiltration, dehydration and ovens.
MATERIAL HANDLING - conveyor systems used (continuous, indexing, programmed hoist); part size and system configurations and how they affect floor space requirements; maintenance and cost considerations.
PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY – part rack design, loading and unloading, importance of rack maintenance.
